The history of chocolate can
The history of chocolate be traced back to the ancient Maya and Aztec cultures in Central America. These civilizations prized cocoa beans as a precious commodity, and used them to make a drink called xocolatl. Xocolatl was believed to have medicinal properties, and it was often consumed by the wealthy and powerful members of society.
In the early 1500s, Spanish conquistadors discovered the Aztec Empire and brought cocoa beans back to Europe. At first, Europeans didn’t know what to make of this strange new drink, but eventually they began to appreciate its flavour and texture. Chocolate quickly became popular among the aristocracy, and it was served at royal banquets and celebrations.
Today, chocolate is enjoyed all over the world and is a staple in many people’s diets. It is made from cocoa beans, which are harvested from cocoa trees. Cocoa beans are dried and roasted, then ground into a paste called chocolate liquor. This liquor can be processed into different types of chocolate, such as dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate.
How does cocoa grow?
Cocoa beans grow in pods on cocoa trees. The pods are picked when they are ripe, and the beans are removed and dried. The drying process can take up to two weeks, and the beans are then roasted to bring out their flavour.

Ingredients for making chocolate
The ingredients for homemade chocolate include cocoa powder, sweetener of choice (honey or maple syrup), vanilla extract and confectioners’ sugar.
The most basic ingredient in making your own delicious treat is simply … Cocoa Powder! This richly textured food gives off its signature taste when mixed with boiling hot water – not too much though; you don’t want it so strong that nobody can drink it anymore!!! So use around 2 tablespoons per cup/large bowl while mixing together until all incorporates nicely before pouring into mold shapes etc… Then top off each piece right before putting them.
